Things to do

Downtown Nadi offers a variety of local and international culinary delights, most commonly focused around Fijian seafood, exotic fruits and cassava. Kokoda is a favourite traditional dish to try –a local species of fish marinated in lime juice and served in taro leaves. For a truly Fijian cultural experience, head to the markets to try Kava the local beverage.

The resorts offer a unique combination of Indian, Japanese and Chinese cuisines with top chefs creating delicious grilled seafood dishes and crab curry. The marina at Port Denarau is another bustling dining spot offering a number of eateries that visitors love.

Nadi town is a popular shopping spot selling Fijian handcrafts like Kava bowls, handmade jewellery, woven handbags and pottery. Shopping outlets are available at Denarau marina where there is also a surf shop and a supermarket, where you can pick up for any last minute supplies before heading out to the islands.

Nadi offers a range of experiences and a rich culture combined with breathtaking beauty.

Seasons Seasons

With a warm tropical climate which rarely moves out of the 26-31°C, it's no wonder Fiji is one of the world's great holiday playgrounds. The best Fiji weather is late March through to early December. November to March is wet season although this tends to be in short sharp bursts.

Getting around

Getting from the airport

Flights to Fiji arrive at Nadi International Airport, after which you will need a transfer to your hotel or island if you are leaving the mainland.

You can fly to the larger Fiji islands like Vanua Levu, otherwise you will have to book a boat, such as the catamaran transfer we offer to Denarau. On the smaller Fiji islands such as Kadavu, the only transport available is local boats or resort owned-catamarans.
